Der italienische Ausnahmemusiker gibt am Samstag, den 31.03 um 20:00 Uhr ein Konzert in BABYLON BERLIN [Mitte]: "Vinicio Capossela ist in Italien aufgewachsen, aber wurde Ende des Jahres 1965 in der deutschen Stadt Hannover geboren, als Kind eines italienischen Gastarbeiterpaares. Studierte ein wenig am Konservatorium und verdiente ein wenig Geld als Parkplatzwächter, ließ dann beides sein und ging nach New York, trat dort in Bars und Pubs auf und streunte schon damals, wir reden von den mittleren Achtzigerjahren, streunte schon damals zwischen den Stilen herum. Vom bluesig-rauhen Delirieren des Tom Waits über das jazzige Chanson eines Paolo Conte, bizarre, ironische und sentimentale Lieder mit mediterranen und balkanischen Elementen, Circensisches und Melancholisches, Lateinamerikanisches und Marschmusik. "
